This large pheasant project underlines the importance of a consultation and my expert input in offering my advice for the end result.
The client had envisioned the initial tree stump could be used to produce an eagle in flight using the existing shape. This could have been achieved but may not have been as impressive by the time the pieces were symmetrical for the wings.
In order to user the original stump to it’s full potential, after some thought I offered up the suggestion of a large cock-pheasant which would lend itself perfectly the the wood.
The customer was keen to go with the suggestion and was over the moon with the result.
